For more than 40 years, Anselm House has sought to wholeheartedly serve the University of Minnesota by helping students and faculty integrate their academic and Christian callings. We believe the wisdom of the Christian tradition can serve academia in all its complexity—deepening discovery from libraries to labs—as it also shapes lives, vocational callings, and moral imagination.
Since the 2022 purchase and renovation of 720 Washington Ave SE, the building has become so much more than a study center—it’s a thriving home for human connection and Christian formation at the heart of the university.

For example, 70% of Minnesota’s health providers train at UMN. Our new Healthcare Initiative, which reaches hundreds of these students, is already shaping the future of care through faithful formation of industry leaders.
For decades, Christian campus ministries have faithfully served on the periphery of university life. With Melrose Station as a base, our vision is to empower a Christian movement and witness within the university, calibrated to the university's greatest needs. We’ve successfully scaled from dozens of people to many hundreds in the last 10 years; now we’re poised to grow and serve many thousands at all levels of the University of Minnesota.
